Lilla is a beauty brand that believes in carefully formulated skincare solutions that are safe on skin and safe for the environment.
Before launching their flagship product - a hybrid sunscreen, I was approached to design their identity, packaging, and launch promotion kit. In a market that is saturated with both local and foreign beauty products, how might a new brand differentiate itself, build trust, and carve its own place in the industry?

➀ STRATEGY
Drawing inspiration from the brand's core values of safety and vibrancy, we envisioned a brand that embodied Lilla’s sincere approach to skincare, while keeping a look & feel that resonates with its core audience: the modern Filipino woman.
The brand identity for Lilla embodies the perfect synergy of refined modernity with approachability. The end result is a brand that is playful and modern while remaining rooted on its commitment to safe skincare.
➁ BRAND DESIGN
We set out to craft a wordmark that embodied modern sophistication, combining slim and thick lines that feel subtle while remaining legible. For the letter "A," we embraced the opportunity to infuse a stylish sensibility.
The submark seamlessly integrates with the primary logo’s contrasting widths, resulting in a clean and elegant representation of the primary logo.
➂ PRODUCT PACKAGING + INFLUENCER KIT
The goal was to maximize and create a striking design that stood out from the other brands’ sunscreens on store shelves, while working with the challenge of production limitations and various brand messaging that needed to be on the packaging. Keeping in mind the brand’s goal to release more products down the line, we designed the packaging to easily cascade to different product types.
The influencer kit, which included the mailer box, a tote bag, and tissue paper were designed to provide a fun and enjoyable unboxing experience for influencers and customers alike.
